About the programme

This curated, focused immersion programme will include visits to the most relevant companies in China’s live commerce ecosystem, real experiences in live commerce and retail operations, and networking with decision makers. The key takeaways are:
 

  • An understanding about the live commerce ecosystem and industry trends;

  • An appreciation (and learning)  of operational strategies, execution and new supporting technologies; 

  • Networking with decision makers & potential partners. 


Daily briefings and debriefings led by Jianggan Li, CEO of Momentum Works to link all the experiences and exposure to your home region and organisation.

Programme detail

Dates: 19-21 March 2024 (3 full days) 

Location: Shenzhen, China (with an excursion to Guangzhou)

  1. Decision makers and strategists of consumer brands, MCNs, ecommerce platforms, e-commerce enablers, SaaS companies and other ecosystem players; 

  2. Investors, entrepreneurs and business owners in/ interested in the live commerce ecosystem;

Programme itinerary

The curated and intensive 3-day programme includes 9 visits, 2 focus sessions, 10+ sharings, 2 networking dinners & daily briefings/debriefings. 

Day 1

Shenzhen

MW Briefing: Welcome to Shenzhen, Live Commerce in China vs SE Asia,  and what to expect for the trip;

 

3 company visits including Qianhai special economic zone; one round table dialogue.

 

Networking dinner 

with key partners in the live commerce ecosystem.

Day 2

Shenzhen & Guangzhou

MW brands & ecosystem focus session:  Close door sharing by key decision makers
& discussion with platforms, brands, ecosystem players and supporting infrastructure players.

MW Live commerce Immersion
Including visits to 3 companies in the live ecosystem, including a
prominent MCN (intercity travel anticipated).

Networking dinner 
with key partners in the live commerce ecosystem.

 

Day 3

Shenzhen

MW Technology & investment focus session:  Close door focused discussions & sharing on the future trends - including AI, virtual hosts, operations and investment opportunities.

 

MW New Retail Immersion: Understand consumer trends and supply chain: Includes sharing by China Resources, 3 visits to Mixc, Nanyou, Hema etc.  -  understand the broader ecosystem of live commerce, including consumer trends, supply chain.

 

Overall debrief, drinks & dinner
